What do you think of this?

If I remember correctly he was behind the Hirohata merc and a few others. George was more flash, Sam had an understated style that defined custom cars of the period. Definitely pure talent!!

What do you think of this?

Fuzzy Dice???? CHECK!! Lol In my defense..... My daughter was 5, and wanted to get dad something for his birthday. I wear them with pride!! I hear ya Rex. It's a matter of taste and the "tuner " kids and a few of the metric Cowboys have really done a number with wearing out the novelty of the...

What do you think of this?

I can agree with most of that on the Cbody drop tops! They do look great the way they are. BUT.....roasting a guy because he backlight his grill, something I wouldn't consider terribly "custom" . Not to mention the fact it's completely reversible with zero scars. And by the way you are OLDER...

What do you think of this?

Your brutal Rex! Lol I'm not sure you can customize a Cbody to the fast and furious extent. For as long as cars have been around there's always been some old man barking at some young punk to " Leave it alone". Sad to say it will probly always be that way too. I'll keep an open mind to people's...

What do you think of this?

Looks good! I like the leds when they are not plastered all over flashing and blinking looking like a cheap prop from a b movie.... That's where Ive gotta draw the line!

    One thing or another.

Thanks! On another note my MSD has returned from repair for the second time. I'm hesitant to reinstall as I don't trust it any more. Gonna do it anyway. I'll keep the Mopar ecu in the trunk. For safeties sake!

    One thing or another.

can I assume that the springs were the issue in the old dist? I checked the gap at the wheel and there all real close to ten thousands . A couple people looked at it( more experienced than I) and scratched their heads as to what could be causing #6 not to fire.

    One thing or another.

Well another sleepless night. On another note I swapped my distributor back in and as expected it ran like dog crap. So I broke down and did some searching on here and wound up getting a remained cardone unit. After a bit of tinkering she fire up. I'll put a light on it tomorrow and hope get it...

    One thing or another.

Well with out a timing light I took the the car over to an old school fella I know and after about 20 minutes of carb and timing adjustments she's running a lot better. He adjusted the distributor per how the vacuum advance acted when connected . He revved er up to about 2k then pulled the vac...

    One thing or another.

Anther thing, the plugs cap and rotor all were replaced at the same time .
  14. furyus 67

    One thing or another.

That's where I'm at with it!! Last time I pulled the cap( not long ago) I didn't notice the the smearing of the contact points.

    One thing or another.

Well after going back to basics and pulling the plugs, this is what I found. The # 6 hasnt been firing. And closer inspection of the cap and rotor.. And here's the #6 post..... So I checked the distributor shaft and here doesn't seem to be a bend in it..... So I think I'm gonna pick up a cap...

    One thing or another.

I've swapped in three coils with same results. The distributor is next. Thanks fellas!
  17. furyus 67

    One thing or another.

Well I added a ground wire from the ecu to battery ground, no change. I'll swap the coils out in a bit. My cool is a blaster 2 that's a little over a year old. If that solves I'll be taking Stans stance on MSD!

    One thing or another.

And attach it to the Phillips screw on the plug? Or??
  19. furyus 67

    One thing or another.

Oh yea, adding a ground wire to the mounting bolts on the ecu didn't have any effect. Other than sanding the paint off of the fire wall, is there a better way to ground the ecu?

    One thing or another.

I'll try this here in a bit. The only reason I haven't gon after the coil or tach is because the problem did t exist when my 6al was hooked up. I put an orange box on and it wouldn't rev over 3k without breaking up terribly so I put the old ecu back. Kind of a lesser of two evils I guess. At...
