    Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

I wish I had that kind of vision and talent to pull something like this off. Usually I'm not a fan of customs, but this is just too cool.

    Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

If you are interested in opinions, I like the full nose better than open. That "picture" is gorgeous. Of course I don't have to figure out how to build it either.

    Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

Yes, build away. I hate rat rods so please paint it properly when done. I don't have the ability, talent, vision, or time to do something like this, but can't wait to see it done. I only hope it doesn't end up partially completed and abandoned.

Can't Help Myself...Had to Buy It

Nice car. I agree "patina" is not cool. Just my opinion that rust is to be gotten rid of if possible and not preserved. We had a 60 Saratoga as a kid. Always loved those angled fins and taillights. And the 4 place "cup holders" on the glovebox door. Even at the drive-ins, they weren't much good.

    First year trans cooling..?

wypowerwagon440 is absolutely correct. I had totally forgotten about those stand alone coolers. I've seen a number of early 50's hemi cars that had them. Not sure what transmissions they were though.

    First year trans cooling..?

I'm pretty sure when the torqueflite was introduced, it was water cooled from the start. I know my 58 Desoto has factory cooler lines to the radiator. I don't believe the powerflite was water cooled. Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable than I will tell me if I am wrong.

    1955 Chrysler New Yorker Value

Only judging on photos, I'd say around 2-3000. Only if it has a clear title too. As mentioned, it looks very complete and intact. I'm figuring on a cracked block and more rust repair than a quick visual inspection shows up. I love the cars, but always liked the 56 a bit better from the...

    forum not recognizing history??

Didn't think it would be a big deal to admit I am computer illiterate. Guess I should have known better. I will respond no more to this post. Thanks to those that actually helped.

Well now I know I have the edge browser and yes windows 10. I tried the cookie thing and no difference. Going to the home button works everytime though. Thanks all for the help.

    forum not recognizing history??

Ross: You are a genius. I tried that and it works. I have no idea why since I've been opening on the forum page for a long time with no issues. But this is easier than relogging all the time. Thanks

    forum not recognizing history??

I don't even know what you mean by which browser?? I can make a computer work but do not understand them at all. I only come out from under my rock once in awhile to make sure the sun is still there... As for posting it elsewhere, maybe one of you that does understand this stuff can forward it...

    forum not recognizing history??

OK-I'm not looking to criticize anybody for something I don't understand either. Just wondering if it was just me. Obviously not. Maybe now that they know it can looked into.

    forum not recognizing history??

For the last 3 days now, every time I bring up this site, I have to relog on. Even if I check the remember me box if I close out the site and reopen it, I have to log on again. It accepts my logon every time, and in the past it always brought me up every time I opened the site, but for whatever...

    Golden Lions badge

I like the plan. It costs way too much to restore one and it would be good to see one driven. The restored ones usually aren't driven so they sit in a garage and gather dust. Go make dust instead!

A 1960 Imperial to Drool Over..................

Interesting on the interior. I learn something else yet again. I fully suspected the engine had been gone through to some degree and repainted. Just wondering on the original color. thanks.

A 1960 Imperial to Drool Over..................

Just a couple of observations...Would not the Imperial have had a leather interior originally? And would the original engine still be gold colored? I think it is a beautiful car and I'd like to have it as well.

Somebody will snatch that up if the body is as nice as it looks. Too far away for me and I can't use another project for now.

    WTF-A Fury camper?

Oh what I'd give to find a 56 chrysler like that. Fix er up and cruise the country in it. The camper on the fury is very nicely made and certainly not just a standard slide in. It has such a long overhang and short main section. Anybody know if such a thing was ever marketed or a nice one off...

1958 Desoto Fireflite Sportsman - Original Low Miles and Beautiful

Fireflight was one notch below the top of the line Adventurer. If I remember right the sportsman referred to the 2dr hdtp model.
