I had the same issue and ended up cutting the old bushing out and using lots of grease and swear words to wedge the new one into the spot welded links. Congrats on getting it finished, it sure does make for a different ride!

Following this thread with interest. Just ordered new bushings after reading this. Will update with results once I get them installed. Is there a consensus on replacing the bushings vs. upgrading to a new sway bar (front)? Do these bars "wear out"?

The black cylinder near the bottom right of the pic is also an a/c muffler?
