In 73, they changed the water pump housing outlet to the passenger side. So anything listed for a 72 or earlier will not fit. A 74 hose would come closer to fitting. Your Gates 20958 should fit, if not try the Gates 20548, which is a 74 hose.

These are for the narrow 13 series belt. I'm sure most of us have an extra pulley and bracket in our parts stash. Disassemble one, get the new pulley with the bolt you took out of another one. That way you don't have to take the bracket off of the motor and dribble anti-freeze all over.

Go back to R12! If you look around hard enough you can find some. Here in Nebraska, about every swap meet I see some. I used to buy it when I could afford it. I had a counter person in a new Napa store last year tell me that they had R12 to sell again. I've seen too many R134 conversions...

For those of you that don't know-the springs in the lower hoses were only in there for ONE reason! To rapid vacuum fill on the assembly line! That's why the replacement hoses do not have them. AGAIN THE ONLY REASON!
