I've looked up part numbers in the 70,71, and 73 parts book. The part numbers are very vogue. Every time I look for one of the numbers, it comes up as the latch. I'm pretty sure the cables have the part number on them, but I haven't tried to get the hood open yet.
I think I have the radio, it was taken out of my 69 New Yorker many years ago. I don't know if the 8 tracks works though. Let me see if I can find it-I think I know where it's at. I'm pretty sure it has the part number tag on it yet. And i have a 69 Parts Book.
It would be a shame to scatter an original Mopar 350 block. You know, they don't grow on trees like the Chevy 350 does.. I just seen that Kanter Auto Parts has 350 pistons, limited sizes though.
I have one similar to this. Mine had a square shouldered O ring between the cap and the distributor body-My brother lost it, now the cap does not fit tight on the distributor. I seen where somewhere it was mentioned that the later units were made without that thin O ring. I had also seen...
I would think the 70-71 manifolds would fit a 72, but 73 a few things changed under the hood, so I'm not sure. Years ago I parted a 73 Newport that had a HP 440 with HP manifolds, I didn't mark them, so I'm not sure which ones they are.
The casting numbers on the 70-71 HP left manifolds are NOT the same. The rights are the same for both 383-440 The 383 is 2951216 and the 440 is 3418351. I found that out when I ordered and was installing my TTI exhaust on my 71 Polara in my avatar. The original engine was a HP 383 and I...
Go out and find a beautiful gold rust free 1973 NYB 2 door and yank out what you need and part out the rest like another member did on here awhile back.
The correct one has metal inserts and is much thicker than the one above. There is someone on Ebay selling them for 199.95, original Mopar NOS. The auction number is 141874289740. I bought one for my 71 Polara a couple years ago and am very happy with it.
I'm still here and interested. I've just been working alot and haven't had any free time to get on here. I don't know the difference between the 70 and 71 though. Does anyone have pictures of them side by side or measurements for the grille mountings. PM me, AMC PackRat with some pictures.
I am looking for a 1971 Polara front bumper and taillight housings in the Midwest. Would be interested in a whole parts car if the price was right. I am trying to get a Nebr. State Patrol 2 Dr hardtop on the road again. It's been sitting in a junkyard since around 1985. I'm interest in...
