in Canada the big dodges had the /6 standard unless it was a wagon or a monaco 500. which had 318s. i knew someone who had a 3 spd manual trans /6 67 Monaco convertible. it seemed so odd listening to it as she parallel parked it.
i also knew someone with a 71 fury /6 3spd manual...
you need a stub frame from a chrysler newport, 300 or new yorker. dodge, plymouth,& imperial have different wheelbases.
others here can tell you what years interchange with your 68, im not sure what differences there might be between years
gonna be putting NOS lenses & trim on today inc an NOS rear bumper. dont think its been off road much if ever; the story we got it was that it was owned by a mercedes dealer's service manager who was a fanatic about it
putting a new fuel pump in the 72 Monaco and got some exhaust work done on the diesel Land Cruiser............ luckily a friend has pipe bending machines, no replacement exhaust pieces readily available for diesels, gas yes....
scheduled build date means only that it was scheduled to be built on that date, not that it was. all kinds of things can delay the actual build date, they could have been waiting on an option like a certain radio to be used that inventory had been used up on, etc
thats George Laurie, i havent had contact with him in prob 5 yrs ( no reason to).
he was very into Formal Royal monaco, Town & Country, Gran Fury wagons then.
its my understanding he had a bad stroke in 2018.
i dont know if anyone is running his business any more if its still happening...
yeah the 300 J was coupe only for 63, only red available was Claret Red and only interior was red afaik.
ive seen ads for 63 300J converts but they could have been "created".......
my knowledge is mainly the fuselarge and formal years.
the pics you posted look like its a 300 Sport series in PP1...
