    without seeing it directly, i don't know what should or shouldn't be there other than to say that it all should be discarded. depending on so many circumstances, discarded in favor of all new work or most likely a complete subframe. what it looks like is a hacked up mess.

    should read: This is the frame repair?! shame. it's steel. cut out the rotten parts and weld in new steel. if done correctly it can be better than original and look like it belongs there. if that had been the case here and the buyer correctly informed, this might have been a sale.

    i don't know that it is unique to the 'vert. i bolted '69 'yorker parts to my 'vert. are they unique to only all '69s plus just 'vert in '70 '? i still have an extra set. i'll have to see what they are.

    looking at the way that they're welded at the front, it wouldn't surprise me either. looking to see the hangers on the exhaust pipes. maybe they hadn't been installed yet. typical European. all hand made and classy as can be. great job and a beautiful shop.

    aesthetics sell better than mechanicals. if it was mint body and interior, good vinyl, no rot, but had a rod knock and a grenaded transmission, it would have had a better chance of seeing four grand. as it is you did good at twenty five hundred. now get cracking on that imperial!

    i did learn that a cap/spout from a gear oil bottle will fit an atf bottle. i have a cap cut back, fitted with a length of 5/16 clear vinyl tubing pushed through from the back out through the top. it's what i use to top off diffs and m/t's. would be perfect for filling these pumps.

    i tried that. rubber hose fit tight to the fill hole. imagine the air bubbles burping back out through the hose and funnel. more fluid went on the floor than in the reservoir. pump was all ready loose so it was just logical to fill it directly. no offense, but i never owned or had access to...

    no matter how hard i tried, i could not get the fluid to pour horizontally. i could pour it vertically though. stand the pump up, fill it, set it back level and let the excess pour back out into a catch pan. can't argue with success.
