Negative Battery Cable - Aftermarket - "Off the shelf"?

I guess if this is a one time need, this might not be for you. I have a farm and about 7 classic cars in the works so I make my own cables. You can get the terminals with a solder pot you drop in, heat and it seals terrifically, then heat shrink to seal it up again. Cheaper than trying to find...

    New fuse block

Have to admit, the connections are somewhat intriguing. Especially the 14 guage copper twist-connect. Never seen that before.

anyone rebuild a 4 gang window switch?

I did rebuild mine from a 68' 300. I went to a local wire manufacturer and purchased 25% thicker wire for rebound under the switch. The drivers switch was limp, as were the others but not as bad. Gave it a nice firm reflect back to center. Something to consider.

    Ballist Resistor

Hi Big John, I have a 68' 300 and do not see any ballast for the wiper in the service manual. I have a three speed motor installed and all seems to work. Is this resistor only on certain cars? Thanks.

Anyone remove the thumb roller face of a 1967-68 radio chassis? If so, do you think it would interface a modern radio chassis?

Tayman did my 68' Am/Fm Search tune. Cannot tell whats behind the original face plate and operation. Ordered the dual voice coil speakers (I think thats what they are called). All looks original, no new speaker holes etc. Picking up stations I didnt even know existed. Better than my newer...

    unknown secondary harnesses

The wires are a tow piece melded together, dark green and black splitting off from a three pin to two two-pin wires. No Brown. Light was terrible in the garage. Paint on the car is Land Rover Firenze, so not original. I purchased a parts car (68" New Yorker) with many extras and that fellow...

    unknown secondary harnesses

Not sure if this works right: Sending from phone. I think I was mistaken on part number, however the appearance looked the same to me. My car is nearing completion to paint stage. If you need anything else, let me know. I did think this was a speaker part as auto wire is never fused like this.

    Power Seat power source?

68’ 300 convertible - I have checked the FSM for wiring and cannot see the source for the seats. Manual says it has a 30 amp circuit breaker in left side Cowel which is in the picture however only one. Manual also states PW, top and seats are off a circuit breaker. Is there only one for all...

    Exterior headlights

I agree, The new Ford 150-350 headlights are annoyingly blinding from my observation. Maybe good to be behind the wheel of that truck, but meeting or rear view mirror experiences are noticeable.

    Antennae motor armature come out?

I have this motor for a 68’ Chrysler which is inoperable. In disassembly I noticed the armature was stuck, however can move with pliers but very hard. Seems to be a bind at the end where this plate is holding the armature. Should the armature be able to be completely removed from this plate...

Need Education re relays and elect flow

Thanks to all. Makes sense now. I did upgrade the Alt. to 60 amp and wiring to 10 ga. Separated the ammeter wiring from the bulkhead connector to h its own connection. Appears to operating good like it should. Needle moves about half way on charge side of the ammeter when fans are on...

Need Education re relays and elect flow

There is a recent post on ammeter bypass i have watched and read Daniel Sterns article on relays. I understand the wiring concept however get lost in the flow, and maybe that's wrong. I have a 68' 300 with an electric fan with two relays powered directly from the battery with a temp switch...
