I wouldn't suggest there is an "easy" way however removing the heater controls is almost a must. As is being quite flexible and nimble.

Did the 68’ 300 offer electric locks? I remember the push/pull feature in Chrysler models but not sure of year. If it was not offered in 68’, is it possible that add the push/pull system to the 68’ 300?

Second the SEM product. I believe it expands and contracts with the part which plastic will do. I have used it on a dash pad - satisfied so far.
