What brand was it? I used Autozone`s Duplicolor brand and a week later I decided to clean up the trunk from dust with a wet rag. Guess what happened? Exactly what Commando said!!

Use flat clear.

Factory used butyl sealer, so did I. I put a decent amount of it in the bottom channel and between glass and gasket. After the glass was in I back filled the gasket to pinchweld area from inside (not possible to do from outside).

The glass is in!! Bought 3/8 Butyl tape, pinchweld primer for butyl and butyl sealer in a tube. It took me 1.5 hrs to complete front and rear glass. Overall - pretty easy job.

Thanks for your input! The glass is already out and it is in good shape. I will be reusing the original gasket - it is not ripped and not too hard. Cleaning up the butyl sealer was a pain... Since the car was going to be repainted I used a wire wheel on the drill and that did the job. Cleaning...

Looking for some help with windshield and rear window installation process. I read the service manual procedure and there is a polyethylene seal that goes to the bottom of the windshield opening - does anyone sell those? Do I need it or there are modern methods that do not require it? Factory...

I used 1 can of black primer, 3 cans of Aqua Dupli Color, (did not like the way gray looks), 2 cans of mat clear.

Yep, shrinker than some light hammering to get rid of wavy surface. Tacked in place, installed the glass, trim to make sure everything fits. Took it apart and did final welding.

Looks like the water just sits there, and when it is covered with trim it takes longer to dry. Took me 2-3 hours per side to fix.

Finally getting ready to finish the body/paint work. 1st buffing step is complete. Pulled her out of the garage for the first time to check in the sun if I missed any spots (of course I did). Now to the mirror glaze and some wax!

The color is Turbine Bronze. It really looks darker in the shade, but in the sun it is more like polished copper and looks mellower. I used HVLP gun Sharpe 3000 series with 1.4 tip. It`s inexpensive - around $70, but works very well. Sprays the primer good too. The paint is Martin Senour...

Thank you folks! I am located in MA. I did all work myself. This is first time I painted a car (did a couple motorcycles before) and first time I used HVLP gun. Tried to follow general body work guidelines. Lots of work, but well worth it.
