I wish I'd checked this when buying the car last week - in park or neutral the reversing lights are off as expected, but in reverse and drive they come on. Is a faulty neutral safety switch able to cause that or a column shifter issue?

Does anyone have instructions or photos for removing the ignition switch lock cylinder? Mine is basically unusable most of the time, the key won't turn unless you jiggle it a lot, sometimes it gets stuck and won't come out. The switch behaves correctly once the lock releases. Service manual...
