The male part of the new hose I bought is skinnier and longer than the original. The new will not screw into the T. It appears the new hose is the 14.5 inch version. The original hose is the 13.94 version. Do the shorter length hoses come with the shorter fatter male end that goes into the T?

The idler arm I have is K7014. Which according to multiple sites is the correct idler arm for my car. My issue is the new idler are doesn't fill the space between the two perches. Is there another part number I should be using?
