    Hood to fender bumpers

Steele rubber products shows this as the hood to fender bumper (for a lot or all of the slab cars) This is not what I have. The 1 inch width looks correct. The lower part that pushes into the fender looks correct, but that wing that is coming off the right side looks wrong. Comments?

Confused about slab-era upper control arm splash shield

I have in my parts inventory this used splash shield: It's made from cord re-inforced rubber, smooth on both sides. There are 2 explanations for this item - that it's an actual OEM splash shield, or I cut it from a sheet of rubber using an actual OEM shield as a template. It would have been...

Source for belt-line side trim clips '67 ('68?) Monaco / Polara

This pertains to the 1-inch wide trim strip on the '67 Monaco (maybe Polara also had it, maybe the '68 models also had it?). It might also be applicable to any other model with a similar style narrow trim strip? Here's a photo: The original white plastic clips really can't be re-used (I...

Looking for a paint-on coating, washes off with water, for chrome (bumpers, etc) for long-term car storage

There must be something, not necessarily intended to cover chrome, but that's what I'm looking for. Some close approximations are "marking paint" (ie for sports fields) and "sacrificial paint" (sort of a wax) used for anti-grafitti coatings (for wallls, exterior surfaces, etc). I want to paint...

    1967 Monaco (assorted restoration questions)

Instead of starting a bunch of threads on separate topics I'll just post a laundry list of questions and observations I have as I putz with my '67 Monaco (2-dr) for the first time in over 20 years before I put it back into storage (for how long?). This time I've promised the Green Hornet I'll...
