Hello, curious if the remote trunk release system in '73 was electric or vacuum operated. Thought about upgrading mine.

So this is what's going on. Attempting to remove exhaust manifolds on my 73 Brougham. I have removed all but one, and it is behind the big steering coupler rag shield. Is there a trick/maneuver to access the nut or do I have to remove the shield? And how is this accomplished? Thanks for any...
