I have been carrying a picture of this car in my phone for quite a while!! I also am wanting to use dual quads on a high rise as this. I do have the set up with carbs, but i have interest in the set up on this manifold. Can you give any info on the brand, cfm of the carbs? I am putting a 440 into a '65 Fury lll. Thanks much in advance!
 
That is my Fury. Good news, bad news....
My best quarter mile times were with a single carb, 750 Holley. That's not to say the tunnel ram didn't work. It just worked too well. My best times were 13.90, smoking the tires for about 1300 feet. I could not get traction to save my life. My 60 footers were in the 3.30+ range (yes, three seconds-oof).
I love driving with the tunnel ram on the street. It won't hook at the track, but it hooks fairly well on the street and if you have your timing right and the accelerator pumps dialed in, it will just jump up and scream. I run a manual valve body, 3200 stall, race built 727 and 3.91 gears. The engine has a mild cam and big valve nicely ported 942 heads and 10.4 compression ratio. Holley race pump and a Barry Gant regulator with two 600 Holley carbs. I ran the carbs in line to simplify the linkage. Used an extra long throttle cable (from a slant six truck) and made my own connecting rod between the carbs. It is important to eliminate any slack in the linkage.
