General Information
Being a fan of late 70's B bodies (first car '78 Cordoba Special) I was surprised at the lack of decent projects to work on. I started looking at Mopars from the early to mid 60's and came across a young man up north (Fort McMurray,AB) who had a 1966 300 2Dr hardtop for sale. Had a friend up there look the car over for me. Turns out it was a poorly restored repainted wrong engine American 300. Being a little disappointed I was going to pass when the kid says he has another 300 - original motor and interior but also repainted badly but been in the family for years. I became an owner of both cars shortly after for the price of the American 300. Turns out the Canadian 300 was in much better mechanical shape and was at least the factory colour. Canadian 300's started out as Windsors (Newport clone) with the 300 front clip. The rear end is Windsor (Newport) and roofline is Windsor. Interior is in good shape other than the 50/50 front seat (Unique to Canadian cars???). Factory 383 4bbl 727 auto. After properly tuned up runs great. See my other gallery for the American 300
