1967 Fury III Convertible

General Information

My dad bought this car in 1977 and it was our family transportation for about three years. A spun bearing left it dormant for over twenty years. Dad just didn't have the time, money, or ambition to fix it up, but he didn't want to let it go either. In the summer of '99, I convinced him that the two of us should restore the car. He agreed, but was diagnosed with cancer that fall and was gone that same winter. When the snow cleared and the temps warmed up in the spring, I started the tear down process. This was my first project, and I learned as I went along. Everything here was a first for me, and I did everything except for the top installation. I didn't have a digital camera when I first started so there are a lot of missing steps here. I replaced both quarters with some terrible quality panels I bought from JC Whitney. They were all I could find and I had to modify them to get them to fit. This is a great car and it is driven a lot spring through fall. Most of these pics are 2003-2007.

Looks like you did a great job for your first time out doing it! I really love the 67 Furies I have had 11 of them at one time or another
