General Information
Late last summer. It's too dirty to photograph now, and the trunk is leaking around the taillight gaskets... I have some work to do! The car came with a white vinyl top that was already ragged when I got it, so I stripped it and did body work on the roof. It's pretty decent.
050420: Notice the mighty 318. Comp Cams Xtreme Energy 218/224 Hydraulic Roller. Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (this version is no longer made), ATI fluidamper. Some nice 200 amp alternator that looked pretty. I've got Sanderson headers to install. Fuel is from an Edelbrock ProFlo2. I've got the wideband O2 upgrade to pin out and install, then recalibrate. Transmission is a Keisler Tremec TKO-500 with the B-body specific components, using the original 727 tranny mount (modified) and correct C-body pedals, modified for the power disc brakes from a 74 Town and Country. I want to do the correct Budd 4 piston calipers someday. I've got one loaded caliper sitting in a cabinet in the garage. Rear is an 8.75" 742 with the later Auburn Sure-grip and 3.23 gears.
050420: Custom interior done in 2000, because the original was partially dissolved by over two decades of dog slobber. The door speakers were incredibly difficult to install, as mounting boxes had to be fabricated in place to clear the window crank mechanism. I have a fully restored factory power window setup I need to install, as well as 90% of the factory air system from a 68 Monaco 500 4 door sedan that was sadly turned into a demo car. It won. I've also got a heavily modified rear defrost unit that almost fits and a three speed wiper motor and switch to install. I'm looking for power door locks and the tilt-telescoping steering column.
