1965 Chrysler 300, 383 4-bbl, 4 Speed!

General Information

Just purchased this 1965 Chrysler 300, 383 4-bbl, 4 speed car, I think it was a great purchase. D-3 on fender tag confirms factory 4 speed car. I'm an A-Body guy, but I do love my ABC's!

Awesome looking 300! The 4 speed is icing on the cake. Have fun! I also like the '68 Newport 'vert peeking out in the one pic.

Dude, nice! I am loving every piece I see of this car. Gimme the broken-in driver over the show care any day. More relatable to me.

I like that a lot. It looks solid. A little elbow grease will get that looking real nice.

Nice 4-speed Dan! I updated my 4-speed & 383 H-code to the Passon Performance overdrive gearset. Man is it nice with a 3.23 rear end. It pulls great even in overdrive.. It's like a 2.58 ratio overall in overdrive.

Interesting that with a 4-speed it still has the single-snorkel air cleaner that a 65-66 Chrysler would have for the 315hp 4-barrel/single exhaust engine.
I would've thought the 4spd would've gotten the small unsilenced air cleaner ala 62-65 Fury 383-4 (or maybe it was changed?).
Does your engine have an HP stamped near the A383 by the distributor?
