A few days ago I received a wonderful and lovingly crafted gift from a friend. As you can clearly see, it's a 1/220 scale model of my ‘71 EV2 Sport Fury!
He commissioned the model from a specialist in Eastern Europe who specialises in 1/220 scale vehicles for model railways. He only had photos of the vehicle available and used them to create this tiny replica. I am totally fascinated by how such details can be realised in this scale. You can see exactly the faded paint on the hood and trunk, the deluxe hubcaps and wheel arch chrome...
My friend then put the car in the petrol station diorama on the TV (with LED lighting)!
As I was a model builder myself in my youth, I really appreciate this fantastic work!!!
