1948 Kurtis Kraft midget taking offers

The car came up here from Arizona in the early 80s,I dont know much about it there is no history or documentaion with it only 1200 made. Have a 6,500 offer

all aluminum body,nose cone is glass

12in halibrand magnesium wheels(3 extra rear dirt tires 1 front)

halibrand knockoffs in rear dreyre front hubs

airheart magnesium disc brakes stainless sleeved

airheart master cylinder

caselle quick change rearend (some extra gear sets)

aluminum direct drive in out gear box

rear totrion bar suspention with adjustable shocks

flathead v8 60 (empty block)

offy finned aluminum heads with water tubes

eddie meyer dual carb intake

2 stromberg 81 carbs (1 Nos 1 rebuilt)

wico dual magneto distributor

crank driven water pump rebuilt

6 core radiator (1 extra)

cowl steering box not sure brand

aluminum under seat aux tank

front and rear crash bars

have a lot of v8 60 parts some nos some used should be enough to built 1

That's cool, I always liked these cars, maybe one day when I'm retired and need to tinker I could build one.

Yes. Some had a kill switch on the knob for the magneto.

Sometimes on the other side you will see a hand pump to pressurize the fuel system.
 
I don't think it originally was fibreglass. They did start using it around that time frame, but I would bet it was aluminum.

More likely, it is a replacement for an aluminum nose that was crunched. It would surprise me if it was standard practice to replace the nose with a fibreglass piece.
 
I was thinking it should be metal, but glass did come about in 32-33 so I wasn't sure.
