No, I think the trim has been removed and the section inside the trim area will be a different color. I assume it will be white from the text.
 
Originally turquoise, repainted blue. The reason I said it should have been left original is that it didn't appear to need to be painted at all.
 
Maybe the paint isn't done. These cars just don't look right without 2 tone paint.

The 50's was a time of interior/exterior color cordination for the auto industry. Changing from the original colors on those cars throws off the balance. The modern metallic's, pearls and transucent paints really don't work on them.

As popular as the two tones, (and even tri tones), were then I have seen several mono tone 55-56 Chryslers. There was a beautiful dark green 56 at Carlisle.
