That car will be unreal when restored! I'm guessing there is not much available by way of reproduction parts for this car.

Actually, Scott, it sounds like Gary Goers is on the mend and he has a very interested party in taking over his business, so I am hoping he can supply most of the items that are necessary for these cars to restore them well. Of course, all the hard trim and such that is missing will be more difficult, but the hardest to find stuff seems to come with the sale of this car. And there is even the correct engine/trans available for it for sale now (from another party). It deserves to be restored well. It is a rare and beautiful car when done. And its value is still high given how rare they are compared to a 1957 Chrysler 300C for example.

Those are just gorgeous.Hopefully it went to a good home and gets the restoration it deserves.

I spotted this 56 (?) Desoto in a wrecking yard in WA state last year that looked very restorable.Of course the hemi motor was gone but it looked fairly complete otherwise.

Not many yards around with 50's cars anymore. Looks like a 57-ish Studebaker Goldenhawk back there too, nice finds!

The rear end is a Desoto Adventurer.

When I first saw that photo, I just concluded it was one of those Canadian models that morphed Chrysler and Desoto bodies into one model. Never could figure out that practice back then.

That one is most likely a US car as it's in Washington State (I didn't buy it,hopefully someone does) although it's only a couple hundred miles from the Canadian border so who knows. It looked really straight and solid, would be a nice resto project. The yard it's in has some pretty cool old stuff and is in a really dry area so most of it was still solid. If anyone's interested,I have the name and number of the place.

Interesting. Much like Plymouth bodies with Dodge front ends.

So this is an extremely desirable Desoto?

Here's a spreadsheet  from Allpar of Canadian DeSoto production.
No 1957 Adventurer.

That's the 300 letter car/ early Fury equivalent, so rare and desirable for sure. Most likely the lowest surving rate of them all. Personally I can't make up my mind.

I chose the 300C and I would do it again. And the 1957 Desoto Adventurer with the dual 4 bbl 341 engine would be a close second. But I love the Fury as well. It would be best to have one of each, but that won't happen with me.

I will do a 1958 Dodge Regal Lancer yet before I go though, hopefully. :)

Steve the Adventurer had a 345ci engine. The 341 was installed in the Fireflite ie.

I take the Desotos and Chrysler and not the Dodge/Plymouth/Imperials in general.
But I don't want a Firesweep with the Dodge Front end. And I need the bigger rear glass
