Charlie has some very cool cars in his collection,.....this is one of them.

You really need to have paperwork to verifiy the D501 installation as a dealer done car. I'm not sure if he has the paperwork or not.

All "factory built" D501 Dodges were 3-speed manual cars. Production was mostly 2 door post, and I believe 3 convertibles. And only approximately 54 were actually built. D. Davis has the production numbers.

Very interesting project, I like it.

Buy the car, not the story.

uh ohhhh......the H word.....20 grand? How close am I without looking......

Ahhhh......35 grand. I just saw HEMI and hid my eyes. Now I looked and I'm wishing I had it! ugh

That price may be spot on for a factory D501 but a "dealer installed", not so sure. As others have pointed out, unless they have the dealer paperwork proving the install, the option is meaningless and surely wouldn't command a premium. It sure will be a pretty car when restored though.

Very true....now. But in another ten years noone will give a rat's pimply little backside if there's proof or not. I'd jump on that thing like a high velocity jumpy thing if I had the cha-ching
