I wonder why the driver side of the Polara 500 has surface rust compared to the other parts of the car? Has some bondo there too. I also wonder whether it was originally from back east or something given the lower quarter bondo paches as well?

I have a pretty rusty 1969 Polara 500 convertible that is B7 blue, black bucket seat interior, and loaded - even has a 440HP in it that is original to the car. I could use that Polara in the listing for its good sheet metal if it is really a western car. Good thing I don't live in Minneapolis!

Went by and looked over the fence today. Steve the rust on one side looks like it's because that side was stripped of paint to begin bodywork. Car looks pretty rough but solid. Needs everything though.

Hey, thanks for checking it out for me Chris! It is probably just what I need then to make mine nice. I just need to consider where my Polara 500 is on my to do list in terms of priority, and see if I need another project or better off to just let mine go. So many decisions.
