Hi, does anybody know if the export cars ever included a station wagon?

I came across a 1957 station wagon which the owner says is a Dodge. The car is in Mexico.

It is missing the front and rear bumpers as well as the rear lights.

It does however have the 1957 Plymouth dashboard with the name Dodge on it.

I noticed by looking at the pics of the Dodge And Plymouth wagons that the rear would be almost exactly the same without the lights installed, so I am not sure if it is a straight dodge or a combination of both.

If I can figure out how to get the pics from the site, I will post them here.

Thanks

Wasn't there some discussion about this a few weeks back? Weren't mexican models sort of a weird hybrid between plymouths and dodges? Like they'd use dodge front ends on plymouth bodies or something...

Yes but I didn't know if they ever exported the wagon.

Apparently they did.

It seems to be a very rare car though if the only other one pictured on the internet is in Europe somewhere.

That is interesting. If it's legit anyway

Well looking at the front, even without the bumper, it looks like the Dodge design, not the Plymouth.

On the side of the car the Dodge would have an extra chrome piece on the quarter panel that the Plymouth does not have.

This car does not have the chrome piece.

I will have to inspect the car a little closer to see.

Maybe the owner has a picture of what the car used to look like with the bumpers.
