Ive owned this car since 1990, bought in when I lived in Reno area. Drove it for a couple years then parked it. Its really solid, very few rusty areas, still has origional paint on it, great trim but chrome needs redone, great origional glass. I did change the seats because the were trashed from the Nevada sun, Has a slant 6 225 and a automatic. I put police 15x7 wheels on it, changed the rear end out of a 69 coronet wagon.. I think its a dana 44. My son and I are working on other projects now and would like to see it go to a good home, and get a good restoration. We just dont have the time or funds. Calls only please..no text Pretty firm on price but????? No trades please.
Thanks

Hey, I was mocking the seller not you.
Newbies and their thin skin... Jeezes. I'll rephrase it.

It seems like all these ads look like great deals and when one inquires about them, you'll get all these BTW's after the fact from the seller.

Are we clear now.

Yup. I wish folks would just leave the "I drove this car for a couple of years" crap out and be upfront with the stuff a buyer cares about (presence of or absence of rust in floor pans, frames, trunk, quarters, filler work, mech/structural leaks, etc). This one isn't too bad but there are some folks who want to tell you so much of nothing relevant to a buyer - what they had planned to do - and then post only a couple of grainy photos from 20 yards away.

Don't even get me started on the guys who believe their prized sedan is a rare gem worth bidding on at Mecums since they added that sporty chrome cleaner and rattle canned that engine compartment.:icon_scratch:

Just misinterpreted. :eek:ccasion14:

Nice enough seller just not very realistic about what he wants for what he has. And you are dead on about the BTW's. As I asked more detailed questions he divulged more and more about the condition of the car. I'm going keep an eye on this and see how long before reality starts to settle in.

its good to let these cool until they realize no one is lining up to pay that price for a 6cylinder 2dr post w/ a lincoln interior. May have promise for the right price though.

Commando shoots from the hip and says it like it is ,I wouldn't put much into it at over 30000 posts he's obviously a valued member of the forum

Hope you don't have to wait till Hell freezes over. Lol... A Lincoln interior?..WOW I can't even imagine what would look like!

Nice project car if you find a decent interior to put back in it.
