The 1958 model sold in Britain was the Facel Vega Sport, now with a 325 bhp, 5.8-litre Chrysler 300C engine and capable of a top speed of 130 mph. Drum brakes were still standard equipment, although Dunlop disc brakes were an optional extra; they became standard equipment in 1960. In 1960, the big car was renamed the HK500.
