A friend of mine who also worked for Chrysler once went to visit him to get some parts for one of his projects. He went to his house for the first time where all the parts cars were, and when the door opened, he was greeted by Rosen in a stained speedo who then invited him in. My friend said it was one of the most uncomfortable situations he was ever in. And when my friend didn't think the prices were reasonable, Rosen started yelling at him with all kinds of crap. Glad I never met him, as on the phone was more than enough.

I'd have never dealt with him except in person, but I figured if the pieces were in my hands and if paid in cash, there should be little risk.

He was prepared for my arrival, knowing what parts i was looking for. Thus, for example, he had three stacks of LF wheel lip moldings. He pointed to the first and said "these are perfect, they are $500 each." I didn't flinch. Then he he pointed to a pile that were just slighly rougher and said "$300". He finally came to pile that were decent driver-quality and said "$25".

We played this game with a half-dozen other parts. I'm sure that if I had anything less than a poker face during that exchange it would have been a barrage of curse words.
