I'm sure the diesel exhaust smells factor in also while driving and or riding in these conversions.

It's close to me. If I had unlimited room and time, I'd love to clatter up to a cruise night in that machine! Cool piece of history.

The Perkins is not the noisiest Diesel, not by a long shot. The Perkins T354.6 Diesel I had in my old '71 IH TravelAll wagon was amazingly quiet, much more so than either my '93 or '96 Dodge Cummins trucks were.

I am close to this one as well if anybody wants boots on the ground. I was not aware of this sort of conversion, very interesting.

That is the smell of money. The sounds of a diesel idle or at full song makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

This would of made you insane.....

Detroit Diesel 8V71T....with the firepower to back anything up!

And it's a convertible.....
