was just sitting for the last 23 years and I got way to many cars to finish so this one has to go, I have a ton of parts to go with it too,
I read that and I had to look at the location to see if that was Safeforwardlook or not. lol

A lot cheaper if anything .

you dont think it's a better example than the OP, Stan??

maybe the colors are not correct, but it looks to be in generally better condition.

and that was with a 2 minute goooooooogle search.

Why are you calling BS?

He must have been commenting on your new Avatar.

I wouldn't be surprised, personally, if it is indeed the best 1961 Desoto left in the world. At least, I don't think I have seen a more original one ever (although I am not sure the seat insert for the driver seat area is original or not - it probably is though given how the rest of the front seat and interior look). At that price though, I would rather have a 300 F or G in similar condition. Rare doesn't necessarily mean valuable, as this model's styling is clearly cobbled together and looks strange at best. Chrysler was wise to discontinue it.

LOL most certainly not.

it always gets me when somebody claims it's the best in the world. how the hell do you know that?? if it's a 100 pt resto or something, then I can see it, but otherwise, don't go there :stop:

rare, sure. original, probably, best? no way.

I understand, Stan. I do not know what's out there either, but a quick search revealed a better car at a cheaper price. it's the "best in the world" claim that got to me. ill go back in my corner now :p

well I think this one here is way better.
It is an original paint survivor, low mileage in sweden.
Car is for sale, too.

There was no Adventurer in the 1961 Desoto model lineup. That series ended with the 1960 model year.

I seriously doubt those dual rear bumper guards are original! But certainly a nice example overall......................... And I can't see its interior to compare. But the red one has the difficult to find trim piece that joins the lower back up lights whereas the black one's is missing.

First car......no mirror
Second car ......one mirror
Third car....... two mirrors.....:)

Geesh, Carsten, no wonder I haven't seen but a couple in my lifetime!

The interior in the black one looks better though. :p I do need to get over to Sweden though!
