Beautiful example of one of Exner's last designs. At 51,000 CDN you have to buy it for love... Or love of not having to do anything but turn the key..

This car defines "eye candy". The purity of the car is impressive in itself.
One could not come close to duplicating it for the price, even if you already owned the car. Bargain in my eyes.
I wish there were an under hood shot. I'd love to see the A/C configuration.

Along with the 61 Plymouth, They truly are a beautiful design, although the extra set of round tail lights that were added because of complaints of inadequate rear lighting mid year, detract from the original design. I always wanted to make the wrap around section of the original tail lights functional as well. Any one ever do this?

I'm not big on red hues, but this one looks fantastic in fire engine red!

Love the cool interesting "everything canted" styling and when I sat in one once, the position, sight lines, controls feel so right and so comfortable.

And to think BMW gets all the credit for the "Hofmeister Kink" to the rear side windows when its clearly evident that MOPAR got it right first!

I agree they were a bit quicker but I don't think they copied it as it was first seen on the Bertone/BMW Joint venture 3200 CS coupe in fall 1961.

However you also see this Treatment on some earlier models as well, for example on a Lancia Pininfarina design from 1951. I never considered this line very specific or handsome, BMW Marketing just cleverly used it with the Hofmeister tagline and Held on to it as a Trademark.
