signed up a while back and thought I'd post my 1961 Dodge Dart Seneca. purchased in 1992 from the second owner for $1500.00. I had only seen one of these before this one. not a big Mopar guy, I just buy old cars I like. though I do have an interest now in 59-62 Mopars. if I had money I'd get a matching 61 Plymouth.
slant six, 3 speed, original paint minus 1 quarter panel. I'm pretty sure it has an original tire (used) as a spare in the trunk. purchased with 75,000 miles and currently has 117,000 miles. blue interior has seen better days.
the "old" picture is fake. me and a buddy were going to a swap meet about 25 years ago. the Caddy and the Dodge were my daily drivers back then.
I had those Astro Supreme wheels on it for a while but put the originals back on. I'd like to find some 15" wheels that will take those hubcaps so i can put bigger tires on it.
I have never seen another 2 door post like mine in person.

Wow great pics. My dad had a black 61 Seneca in the late 60s /6 stick. He still tells about how he drove it from NY to Oklahoma several times from 67-69 it was his college car. He took it from Brooklyn to Oklahoma many times. His brother and best friend laugh about the weekend in August 69, when Woodstock was happening, and they were riding around the Hamptons in the Dart with Oklahoma plates and heard bout all the people in Woodstock at the music festival. They laughed about it BC they left work on Fri and had to be back at work on Monday morning. My mom had a 61 4 door dart Seneca and my dad had the 2 door Dart Seneca. The feed back from them is that they were awful cars but always started and got them where they had to go. My dad had better memories of his dart than my mom of hers. Her dart had welded passenger side doors from an accident from the previous owner. Both Families were hard core Mopar people. Both darts had the /6 and stick shift.
