WANTED 1961 Dodge Polara convertible/2 ddors htp

Hello I am New on the Forum and I’m reaching out with a question regarding the rear quarter stainless steel molding and back panel door molding for a 1961 Dodge Polara convertible, specifically for the passenger side. Alternatively, I am also interested in the molding from a 1961 Dodge 2-door hardtop, as I believe they are the same. The part numbers I’ve come across are 2240882 and 2240883. See picture

Would you happen to have this part in stock, or could you point me in the direction of where I might be able to find or purchase it?

The moldings are the SAME for a 2-door hardtop and convertible but ONLY for a 1961 Polara. And the part numbers you listed are correct.

The Polara moldings use a unique design / style with the stamping having ribs whereas the other 1961 models are smooth.

Those lower rear quarter moldings for 1961 Polara are one of the more difficult ones to find even nice used. Whats’s wrong with the molding on your car ?
It maybe a better option to have the molding restored. That’s what I’ve done with a lot of the 1961 specific moldings. On another note, I just sold an NOS rear “C” Polara only molding (part number 2240888) to a friend and he’s also searching for those long rear quarter moldings.

Yes this is my Polara, I am very happy with this beautiful car. Man, it drives great. We enjoy every moment when we drive the Polara. If only because of the reactions of our fellow road users. You can keep waving to everyone the whole way. There is a hole in the molding that was damaged and I tried to repair it, but it was already cracked. The molding only has 10% damage the rest is top. And looks very nice. Such a shame. Hence looking for a new one.
