I would of preferred a 440 swap but in a wagon a 318 will work too.

Can't imagine a lot of these have survived the years, thanks for posting - interesting wagon.
 
Says it has a 904 push button trans. My understanding is all V8 push buttons were 727 and the /6 was 904. To get a 727 behind an early /6 required an adapter plate so a V8 trans could be used.

I was thinking that with the pushbutton shift and all, it should be a 727. Also thinking that the 904s didn't happen until the LA motors happened? Which would mean that 727s were behind Slant 6 and A-motors, too. Especially for fleet use, but if that's the only automatic you have at the time, different versions of it for the different engine families.

An interesting wagon survivor. Especially a 9-passenger version.
