Try and find one of these. 1963 Polara 500 convertible. 383 (assuming its original engine) Push button auto.
I bought this a year ago with the intent on building it from the ground up. I bought it from a guy who had it for 10 years and he believed it had not run in 20 plus ears. It was in Eureka California when I purchased it. It is a very nice straight car with no thru rust and I believe it would be a great build. Electric top, the car needs a total resto. No floor rust, no bad quarters, no major issues, you are light years ahead of something with rust. It has plenty of patina but its a solid car. Only bad area is the front pass side fender. It comes with a nice fender, so no serious body work. I also have rechromed bumpers for it.
