I know some would say it's not really a C-body, but it's still nice eye candy.

Something doesn't sit right with me on this. For some reason, I don't think they still had a "factory" cross ram induction available in 64. Any of you experts wanna back me up on that or better yet .... educate me?

cross ram was introduced as an optional engine for the 1960 model year letter cars, available until 1964 model year. In 1965 they went with the plain 413/4. The cross ram engine had an advertised max of 405 hp in the 1962 model year. Only a broadcast would tell if this car came with a cross ram engine or not.

This reminds me, I should have bought that damned '64 4 spd rag I looked at about 2.5 years ago, even if it was green.

Actually, the cross ram 413 was standard on all 1960, 61, and 1963 letter series 300s. The cross ram was optional on the 1962 300H and 1964 300Ks. It was dropped for the last letter car, the 1965 300L.

This car has been around for awhile. It's a nice example, I think $20K+ is what it would take to make it yours.

As SAFORWARDLOOK stated, the Crossram engine was available in 1964 as an option. Chrysler made approximately 467 units and approximately 17 convertibles,..a few were 4-speed cars. Not exact numbers,...all from my failing memory.

I know where there are 3 project FACTORY CROSSRAM 64K cars available for sale right now, very reasonably priced, if anyone is interested.

Also, a 300J project and a 62 300H driver quality convertible for sale, if any one is interested.

Just looking at the engine compartment, I thought, "How do you change the plugs?"

I know the cross ram is a neat feature, but I guess I am always thinking about practical long term maintenance. :)

Still a neat car.

What a nice ride. I added it to my watch list. I just curious to see what it sells for. I bought my '70 Imp on an e-bay auction for a very good price. You never know with auctions.

Lakeland, Florida? Could it be as in walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck. Stan will know. The saturated color pictures send my antenna up.

Although the bidders are not private in this one. Is Lakeland Florida ground zero for many classic car dealers?

Yes, that car has been available for sale for quite some time. While it is purported to be an original ram equipped K, there are some in the 300 club that think it is a converted one, although done very well with all original parts. My only issue with the car is that the body work isn't as nice as the paint job itself when sighting down the side. That really turns me off.

my beef as well...curb reflection on some of the panels shows highs and lows off...love the interior and dash ect..these things are growin on me

I love these 'lost years' cars. The ram intakes presented a few problems besides changing spark plugs, like pooling of fuel below the carbs, that made them a bit more balky than those without the rams. And they took up a lot of engine bay space. Note the power brake and master cylinder had to be moved down and into the left fender area. Still I'd love to own this K car i if I could afford it.

This car has been around before. Sometimes even if a car 'sells', you see it a few weeks or months later shifting among a group of Florida classic car dealers. Anyone ever seen that before??

Yes Sir,..that's an old game in the dealers network. California to Connecticut, New York, to Florida, and the price rises each time the car moves,.....That's capitalism!!

The 300K in question was purchased for approximately $17,700 on eBay about 1 year ago, and is now again on offer.

We track these things you know,...................... :)

OH YEAH and 300NUTTER. ALL the ram carz came with removable access panelz on the inner fenderz to ease the spark plug changing task. Jack up the front, remove the steer tirez, remove the access panels and get after it.(after placing jack standz in the safest locationz of course) Mother even saw fit to install a metal clip on the right side panel on the "J"+"K" to hold the #6+#8 wires away from the headerz those yearz. Ah the memoriez

I was legitimately in the running on the bidding for that car when it was on oivay.
I talked to several knowledgeble people and put in a max bid of 12k for it. That was all it was worth and it was top dollar at that.
In fact, it may have even been Jer I talked to concerning the master cylinder. Can't remember for sure.

And YES, this auction is being listed by one of Lakeland Lash's multi storefronts. Dan is Lash's partner in crime in preying on the (ahem) less than informed (Read: stupid) public.

My exact thoughts... where are the spark plugs located and how hard are they to change...

Just picked up a couple of Ram K's so have been following prices on them. This car has been listed constantly on eBay for the past month or two, usually gets around $15k or so.
