1965 Chrysler dash pad removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the dash pad from a '65 Chrysler? Does it require removal of the windshield?

Dash yes, dash pad no. From underneath, remove the 3/8" nuts close to the firewall, I think there are 8. With the nuts out, try to push up on the studs and move forward to clear the holes. Once elevated in the rear, you should be able to pull it forward from the seats.

Dumb question: What or where is the firewall?

The vertical metal part that separates the inside of the car from the engine compartment. The sheet metal between the bottom of the windshield and the floor.

No. They are inside the car under the dash attached to the dash frame. There may be insulation on the inside of the firewall that could be partially blocking them.

Very difficult to see any nuts. There are many wires etc. other parts, basically I'm at a standstill. Thanks.
