I tried. Seller never returned my emails. Bought a '59 Imp instead. Had the trip all planned out, printed the map, was going to get it no matter what. Oh well.

To that email, I never got a response.

Some truth to that. I found a car two years ago, local, on CL.

It was about 20 miles from my house, one way.

I talked to the guy on the phone ONCE, made an appointment to see and drive. Drove clear out there, he stood me up. So, 40 miles round trip, for nada.

Called him several more times, left messages, he never answered.

About a week later, I drove out to the corner lot again where he had it parked and saw it (locked no one around).

Called him while there...no answer!

Finally, I called him and left a message said I would probably pay his price, cash, if I could test drive. Didnt intend to actually take the cash with me, but I wanted to see what he said.

Finally got him to answer phone ONE more time.

He said he decided not to sell after all.

Typical!

Well when you put up actually information then maybe there wouldn't be so many questions all that Ad said was the price and that was it not a lot to go on.
