I have a 1965 New Yorker, I recently saw a FB post selling a '65 300 Convertible. of course he also shows lots of misc parts in a shed and there is a hood that appears to be what I need and also in the color i need. Does anyone know if that will fit properly? BTW the car looks too rough for me to ckle but here's the post in case any of you are.

Don't buy the hood out from under me... thanks!

Thanks Bob that's a bit far to drive for me. Hoping to find something in the state.

Going to see this car and parts in the morning. I'm really just going for the hood and maybe some seats but... Just a thought, the car is really rusty looking but what ridiculous price is it worth me taking? I'm not a body work guy and would have to have work professionally done, what would the car be worth restored?

I think it would be a stupid endeavor doomed to a costly fail. Yet there are those who succeeded starting with less.

UPDATE! I went to Lakeland today and picked up the hood. It also has rust but it's in much better condition than my current one so I bought it cheap, this should hold me over until I get into a serious restoration. I also bit the bullet and bought a set of front bucket seats. I know my car originally had a bench but the original seat was gone when I got it and the current seat is from the mid 70's so these buckets will look much close to correct even if they are different color. he kicked in some power window switches and now I'm anxious to get these on the beast and get rolling again. :iroc:
It's a good thing I didn't take more cash I probably would have just spent it.
