Legendary Auto Interiors don't offer seat covers for the 1965 monaco, but they do offer the one for the Polara 500. They look similar but are they really similar ?

Similar in that they fit the same cushions, otherwise totally different. Pleats are way different, etc..

Good Luck on that! I've been looking for somebody to repop these for about 30 years now. Legendary just laughs, whenever I ask them. And it's really hard to get an upholstery shop to stitch them up correctly from scratch - they can't seem to get the pleats to look "right", and they look horrible if they don't use the correct color-matching thread.

It wouldn't be so bad if Legendary wasn't always boasting "we have carpets for EVERYTHING," and then when asking what they have for an Imperial look like a deer in the headlights.........

I was less than happy when they turned down my offer to find a pattern and pay all costs involved with getting 66 Polara 500 bucket covers made. I'll gladly pay the upholstery guy who said we can get it done, and for the same price completed as Legendary charges just for the covers.

But I will be spending @$1k on seat covers for my truck, and at least $600 for my Dart through them. Good and bad.

Has anyone approached SMS? They seem to have a lot, and had an EXACT match for the fabric on my '67 New Yorker.....

I think that's where my upholstery guy gets his material, another guy in town told me about then when I asked about the correct grain, pointed to their sign and said we'd get the material from them.
