Well then Bob, since you posted it what do you have to say for yourself?

Nothing............I just cut and pasted what the seller had in the ad. Must of blown up the 413 along the way and put a 383 in it.
 
The reason it has a 383 and not a 413 is it's NOT a New Yorker. It's a Newport. NY'ers have the glass headlight covers and a different grille.
 
I knew if we beat this horse someone more knowledgeable than the two of us would give us the answer
 
I was wondering how long it would take before somebody caught the error...

I'm surprised that as many Ny'er's sold since looking very similiar to the Newport. The Newport was significantly less $$$ than the NY'er which was a lot of money in those days.
 
The NY "C" pillar was different as well, giving it a much more "formal" look than the sportier tapered pillar on the 300 and Newport.
 
They are all great cars..........I'll take one of each. When I hit PowerBall/MegaMillions...
