heay scott, I have a 65 sport fury that is ivory with gold interior and has a high performance 383, 330hp AFB carb. I would like to know how many of those were made also. My car is an console shift auto, this seems to be pretty rare from what I see them selling for on auction sites. They look like junk but want top dollar. Does anyone know of a company that is making re-manufactured gas tanks for the 65 furys that fill in the corner?

Does yours have the chrome unscilenced air cleaner? I have read in a few different magazines that the 1965 big block 383 high performance should not be painted turquise but be red. Anyone got any info for me ?

The block was painted red on this car I thought was support to be blue. I have an aftermarket air cleaner I would like to get the real deal

I had some joker tell me my 65 was worth no more then $12,000 in this condition . He thought a 318 fury convertible was worth more

Anyone know if they made a 1965 383 hp wedge engine that would have been put in a 65 sport fury?

For all of you trivia nuts out there:

U.S. built Sport Furys are an AP2P model
Canadian built Sport Furys are a "Sport" package on a Fury III (AP2H).

Put one side by side with the other and you'd be hard pressed to tell which was which if you didn't look at the data plate and/or serial number.

The biggest engine in a U.S. built Sport Fury is a 426 wedge.
The biggest engine in a Canadian built Sport Fury is a 413 wedge.

Both were available with a 383-4V.

Standard V8 was the 318-2V.

The Canadian built cars "Could" have been built with a 225/6.
