Low production Imperial in exceptional condition

Sold for $45,000. Good! Mine just went up in value, so I'm happy. That is the most beautiful Imperial anywhere, IMO.

As someone who really hates convertibles, this one caught me off guard. What a gorgeous car.
There, I said it.

Have you looked at the entire car? In this case, a color change enhanced the value, IMO. That is the nicest one on the planet!

I love the color , the car is gorgeous. You don't usually see a car restored with a color change set the precidence in price.
I certainly don't recall one of these pulling that kind of coin.

45k probably still didn’t pay for that resto! It’s gorgeous though, no doubt!

I strongly suspect this car was an orginal Shriner's car... the options and OE color are the same as one I owned. Re-doing the seats would kill the gold-flecked leather, which was unique to the Shriner cars (and can be reproduced). The leather is also a modern low-gloss style. Nice as it is, I think this money will not come back if he sells anytime soon.

What exactly does this mean ? "a re-fabrication of the torsion bar-equipped front end"...Looks pretty OEM to me. Does it have remnants of a trailer hitch ?

Nice looking car though.
