I wonder if he kept the engine if he'd let it go for $2000?

I know the owner....
Called and talked to him, nice guy with an unfortunate situation. I'll be talking to the bank on Monday to see if I can work something out. Anyone know of any cheap housing near me? Laura's gonna flip.

Well, Laura's actually okay with me getting the car. She says something has to go, but I told her we will wait til he son gets his truck back on the road, and let him buy one of the cars. That's a ways off, and we gotta get this one going first. Shouldn't be too much, just a little money, right?

Sold, sold ,sold! I've talked with the owner, we came to an agreement on price, and I'm planning on heading west Feb 8th with Laura's son to get the Polara 500! But I was told I have to sell one. Never would I sell my baby! Well, maybe, but not too just anyone. So it's been decided, I'll get the Polara I currently have, and swap the stub as planned. What else I'll do, not sure yet, as the stepson has said he wants to buy it after I get this 500. He wants to put in some racing seats, a roll bar, lose the door panels and put sheet metal in their place. I'll swap the blue interior over to the 500, which means I'll have to get the buckets done to match, and a new carpet. My mind's already swirling thinking of what needs doing first, wheels and tires, then, what paint to lay on it! Paint! Holy flipping Toledo! I have a car that is a blank canvas for some color. Still leaning towards silver to set off the blue interior. That's a ways off so that's yet to be determined. I have to sell one, bummer, I really don't want to. But as much as I love the car, it will be close by and I'll see it all the time. I'm sure my time with it isn't over, it will just be in a different manner. I'd love to have the 500 on the road in May, so I can take both to Mopars in the Park. A lofty goal, but I'm setting my sights high.

Congratulations on such a nice find. I have been on the hunt for a 66 Polara or Monaco myself so I’ll have to lay out the standard line. If for any reason you decide not to go through with this deal I will step up to the plate just to keep it in the fcbo family. Yes I’m totally willing to be a martyr for the cause. Lucky guy have a safe trip!!

Thank you, if I'm anywhere near the list at all, I'm very honored. I'm just happy that I have a clean slate to work with. And that my car will go to a good kid who definitely appreciates it.

Wish I was going to be here to see you!
Thanks for looking at it, it made me feel better knowing eyes were on it, and could verify it was what I wanted.

You'll be out of town? We probably won't get there until Friday afternoon, or evening. My friend lives near you, so I'll be back sometime, sooner than later.
