Hello,
Here's the summary:
The P/S pump (TRW) started leaking - I replaced the seals, put it back on only to find out that the new belt is rubbing on the A/C belt. Turns out the bracket is all twisted, making the pump sit farther back and out of line with the crank pulley. The machine shop I took the bracket to quoted me $100/hr to try and straighten the bracket out. That is probably how much I'm looking at.
The other option I'm looking at (and kind of prefer) is getting a brand new (reman) Saginaw pump with hardware from 440source - I already got a new intake, carb and fuel pump - might as well get a new P/S pump?.. The only problem is that their (and everyone else's, it seems) setups are for non-ac big blocks only.
Any ideas, advice, sell/trade offers are greatly appreciated.
