I know a few derby guys........

They are dead serious about prepping these cars and spend a lot of money ($3-6k or more) and countless hours to get ready for the derby. As Patrick said this car was beyond restoring and I wouldn't put any effort (labor) or $$$ in to a derby car myself. From what I've been told this car is a good deal for a derby guy.
