No Rust, very clean> Dual exhaust with a mild Harley Davidson sound, 440 engine and only 63,500 miles.....

I would paint the roof back to silver, remove the yellow from under the hood and drive it. Wow, I just noticed manual brakes?

what do you think this is actually worth?
Well I sold my 66 4 dr NY'er in similar condition for $7500 a few months ago so I'd say his is priced fairly. Of course that doesn't mean I wouldn't try to get it for less.

Your car, based on the pics I remember, presented itself much better. The current $7830 isn't terrible, but the original $12,500 was nuts.

This area in the trunk jambs suggests a paintjob somewhere along the way, and based on looking down the tops of the quarterpanels and hood, it's not super-shiny. The bottom pic is of the homemade dual-snorkel, using what might be the original air cleaner and adding a a 70s style snorkel, and cutting a large round hole between them (for good measure). Looks like the cowl drain flap got painted silver, too.

And I absolutely hate seeing a mismatch of WW and BW tires on a car that isn't a project car.

Yes mine looked better as it was shiny and stock looking colors and it had far more options. The problem with mine was most of those options were non op. This car has few options but that might be better than a lot of them not working. Were not exactly comparing apples to apples but they are both relatively clean good running 4 dr C bodies so that's what I based my value on.

Red top with black "earmuffs," hmmm......wonder what they were thinking........ maybe it would work better withOUT the black earmuffs, which don't look like vinyl. Easily remedied, either by painting the rest of the top red, or going with the above suggestion on going back to silver..... Still, looks pretty decent, and it's hard to go wrong with this color combo. Definitely would want to see under that trunk mat. Wonder what the "mild Harley Davidson" sounds like...… Good thing about low optioned cars is that you don't have antique power accessories to worry about. Hope it finds a good home.....

Years ago worked with a guy in a UAW plant (we were both non-union). They no longer key-scratched non-American vehicles, but they still vocally disliked them.

There was a meeting about the parking lot that was being repaved.
Buddy asked in the Q&A if they could create a special Harley-only parking area, and a separate area for Japanese bikes.
Many UAW guys chanted approval.
Then my buddy said 'We're tired of parking with the Harleys, one of us is gonna slip and fall in all that oil'.

All the approval stopped, and my buddy was on the shitlist for a few months...
