I think my ship just sailed into port....:eusa_pray:
Seriously, guys, when see potentially the right car, I become irrational on it's WIW.
Knock me back down to Earth with your WIW's...
Yes, I'm gonna call for more info.

A beautiful Newport and close enough for you to look at today. I hope there isn't any surprises under the hood and the underbody. The interior looks spotless. Wait a minute...I don't see any A/C vents???? Maybe there is...I can't tell.

383-2bbl (NOT a high rise intake as mistakenly said in ad)
34k miles, he thinks (it's a flip)
A/C car - not working... compresser removed/lost
Stock rims gone.
Lotsa pics coming tomorrow.

WOW, that is really nice.....sleek looking....THAT ones worth checking out for sure. Go for it. Would like to see what it looks like under the hood.

It had to be garaged it's entire life. Paint looks original.

Stan, how far do you live from this car? Are you going to go look at it?

I'm about six hrs. away. It's way down in the Keys.
After getting all the pics and talking to him some more and I think this is the one, I'd go down there with cash, a plate and still the possibility of returning home empty handed.

Good luck to you. I hope it's a keeper!

Nice looking car, bench seat, air not working, wheels gotta go..........what else?

$8,500.00

That high? Really?
I'm thinking a grand to do an a.c conversion done properly, and a grand for correct tires, rims, and covers. The bench is fine with me.
Plus what remains to be discovered when looking at it in person. I thought $7 - 7.5k...

There I go spending others money again. You are right Stan, and that may be high. Certainly too many factors for us to see if you are really considering it. Swing low and reach for the stars.

There's also the old adage of Buy low, Sell high, that I've never seemed able to achieve...

Unless those are old photos or something, it's beautiful. Buy it.

Same here. Your stuff is crap and everyone else's stuff is worth gold when selling and buying. I was thinking more along the lines of $6500 for that car.

Give him as much as 8K, That car is sweet! Don't forget you can recoop some dough from the rims, although I might keep them...

OK. I'm getting an idea of a good ballpark. Thanks, guys....
Trying to stay rational, here.
