Straight body all trim is there, it is a project car does run and drive. 440, nice cam, and edelbrock intake, holley 770 carb which is to much carb. Headers, converted to electronic ignition all this stuff was new 2yrs ago and i parked it on side of house under a tarp and you can see what happens. All new brakes, new drive line, trans filter and fluids. Spare parts to go with it. I went threw everything getting this car up and running from when i got it. I dont want it to sit and be forgotten any longer it needs a new home. Is on non op and will need to be towed.

I only saw this because of the keywords.

Stripped with an angle grinder, parked under a tarp for two years with no rear window and the cowl off ... I'm thinking parts car at this point... should've let it be.

Some interior pictures would help before writing it off as a parts car. I see the top of the back seat is gone but maybe it's a bucket seat console car. The body looks solid aside from the grinder induced surface rust. Underhood looks decent. Comments in the ad abt spare parts etc. Wonder what's all included? My son lives in Vacaville, I could have him look it over.

Body looks pretty good if you see through the ugliness caused by him stripping the paint off. If we were just looking at the pictures from before he stripped it we'd be drooling over it. Much more than a parts car IMHO.

That's in my old stompin grounds. If anybody know anything about west coast sheet metal, I'm sure this cars body is in amazing condition regardless of what it looks like now, and what's been done to it!

I hadn't even looked at where it was ... I am most likely wrong about the parts car thing.

Who was asking the other day about rerouting belts around a missing A/C compressor?

Here ya go!!

That’s not too unreasonable of a price. If a person needed or had a parts car like it, it would be invaluable. $2500 isn’t bad for a running roller.

Yea if it's a real numbers 440ci car it would be worth restoring. I first thought the sanded down paint was to primer and was a attempt for that patina look, if it was ground down to bare metal and stored that way the guy's a idiot. Roof looks rusted, but on the body is that brown primer or rust? Wonder whats up with the rear glass.

It is a A/C car too. 440 cars aren't as plentiful as 383's in the 67/68 years.

Does this area get enough rain to be worried? I'd imagine water in an arid area would evaporate very quickly and not be much of an issue.

I can only speculate as to the degree of serious rust issues on this car. From the pics provided, the grinding off of the paint was ill advised but, doesn’t appear to have done extreme damage.
If I were interested in it, I’d contact the seller, ask some questions and request more detailed pics. The price seems pretty fair and if it’s what flips your switch, then it might not be a bad buy.

Subject to a close personal inspection it appears to be a solid project car . If the 440 is in good shape it is easily worth the asking price. My .02.

What he said in that comment up there (1).jpg

Now here's a man with a clue and is using his cue ball, good on you! It's a dry heat, so it's a dry rain!
